А... Все-таки есть перегородочка. Тогда всё встает на свои места. Конечно, он не мог предвидеть такой ужас, как коммунальные квартиры. А там и до сих пор их полно! Вот на сайте продаж комнат (!) нашла комнаты в этом доме. Там много фотографий.
